If you’re the type of person who counts down for Halloween then you will be happy to know that El Paso has plenty events that will make your Halloween spooktacular. The first event will be starting this coming weekend and the last one ends on November 2 which gives you loads of time to have fun with your friends and family.
Start your Halloween early with September Mourning Tea and Halloween Tree Decorating on September 20. The host of the event is the shop called Tooth and Veil/El Paso Oddities which sells wearable art, custom jewelry, books, home furnishings, taxidermy and more. The event will have Halloween decorations available for purchase along with snacks, tea, night shopping and a fun time decorating their Halloween tree. The shop is an already unique place to venture out to and this event just takes the cake. Head on over there this weekend for some decorating fun.
The Socorro Independent School District will be hosting two movies nights at their Student Activities Complex (SAC) on October 4 and October 31 at 7:30 pm. The Halloween Movies at the SAC will be showing A Nightmare Before Christmas on October 4 and the event will be free. If you’re interested in having a movie night then be sure to go to the SAC and bring along a comfortable blanket and pillows for you and your friends too. However, this event will not be allowing any food, umbrellas, big bags, tobacco and alcohol.

This Halloween show offers a fun and different night for you and your friends to be involved in. The interactive murder mystery will have a hilarious crime waiting for you to solve while you enjoy a delicious dinner. However, don’t let the laughs and tasty food distract you from finding the suspect amongst the group. The event will be held on October 12 and 26at the Holiday Inn at Sunland Park.
Halloween Hair Massacre will be held on October 13 where 16 top barbers will be competing for a cash prize of 1,000 for first place, 500 for second place and 150 for third place. The hair event will be from 1-7 pm and will also have a student battle where they will be competing to win 50 bucks in different categories such as Best Textured Crop/Fade and so on. It will be a hair-tastic event.
If you’re looking for a kid-friendly and dog-friendly event then the CARnEVIL Trunk N Treat is a great place for you to take your loved ones. The event will be held at the Dorris Van Doren Regional Library over on Redd Rd on October 18 and will be having trick or treats, Halloween decorations set up by different car clubs, and a very special guest; the Imperial Border Squad-Storm Troopers.
Savour Wines will also be having an event filled with treats, a costume contest, games, food and wine called the OYE: Yelp’s Halloween Party. The party will be on October 23 and it is highly encouraged to RSVP because the event has a waitlist. It is a 21 and over event and having an unconfirmed plus one is not permitted due to space so you will have to confirm you will be taking your guest with you beforehand.
If you’re looking for a unique Halloween event then Tooth and Veil/El Paso Oddities is the place for you. They will be throwing a Ugly Halloween Sweater Tea Party on October 25. The shop will be having their Monthly Mourning Tea Party and will be celebrating the Nearly Departed with photos in a coffin. Party guests should dress up either in their best ugly Halloween sweater or their best mourning outfits. Stick around for their late night shopping, snacks and photos in their coffin or a Gothic spin on “Friends” photo on their couch.
The zoo is already a well-loved place, but it becomes an even more awesome place for you and your family/friends when Halloween comes around. El Paso Zoo presents Boo at the Zoo where guests can go to trick-or-treat stations, games, activities for children, animal encounters and more.
